Wide-Field Digital Retinal Imaging
Wide-field digital retinal imaging allows us to take a high definition color photo of the retina, optic nerve, blood vessels and the macula.
Even through an un-dilated pupil, the image captures about 70% of the retina, compared to only 10% of the retina on standard un-dilated examination.
The images can show several distinct eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment.
